Hi there,

Some pictures coming from modern phones embedded only latitude et longitude information. 
Google elevation APi is able to fetch from a latitude and a longitude the related altitude.
I would appreciate being able from a selection of pictures being able to select a option "import google elevation api" altitude and let digikam getting the altitude to set on these pictures.

You have seen that in the Geolocation Editor there is the possibility to get the altitude for all loaded images? As service we use geonames.org.
