- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Everytime I clicked on the above mentioned two entries , plasama-discover crashed with segfault, other entries (Settings, Applications Addons etc) are ok though.

- Custom settings of the application:
My default fedora 28 installation is gnome, KED was installed via sudo dnf install @kde-desktop along with lxde and cinnamon.
My fedora 28 is Chinese version
My computer is dell d630 with t9300, bios ver A19.
I then burned a new fedora 28 with KDE from Fedora Spins and live booted to test if it was my computer hardware fault, but this version worked just fine, no above mentioned crash

-Other things might be helpful
I've also noticed the Show weather(gapplication launch org.gnome.Weather.Application) crashed with segfault , though I understand it's probably a gnome app from default gnome installation but I think this might be a helpful info.
Dnfdragora in cinnamon does not work either (when clicked application did not even show up )

The crash can be reproduced every time.

So will this be fixed in the new future? just looked at bug 394048 and very interesting the bug reporter has the same drm_kms_helper error too, maybe they are related? I am using the same video=SVIDEO-1:d temporary fix right now but this bug is really preventing me from fully upgrading my working environment to KDE plasma.

Also would you think if I install fresh from Fedora Spin the KDE version, the bug will go away? I mentioned in the report that the live KDE version does not suffer from this crash, I am willing to do a fresh install with KDE default if it at least can temporarily fix this bug but am not sure about it.
