Description Brennan Kinney 2018-05-12 03:14:49 UTC
Had a USB drive plugged in, ended up in Dolphin at `/run/media/username/mount_name`. I wanted to shift+delete the contents, and had the folder selected(thinking for some reason this was a folder on the mounted drive, not the folder representing the mounted drive), I was confused why nothing happened. Then tried a regular delete no prompt, right click context menu, I could make a new file/folder(this confusion was due to right click selecting the mounted folder, it would create a new file/folder inside it..), but no delete, root actions menu had delete but I chose not to use it(I wanted to delete without moving to trash). Then I noticed the location I was at and realized why I was having a problem.

It'd be nice UX if Dolphin would instead notify the user of error/inability to delete and why. Could delete/shift+delete instead of mapping to nothing, map to bringing up an error dialog?
