Hi,

Recently my system with KDE Neon got updated and as part of that Kopete too got updated to new kopete with KF5. 

But soon after the update following issues I faced:
1. My Jabber account got deleted
2. I added back the jabber account but my old **History** is not showing.
3. Configure Video device is broken none of the option work

***Solved****
looks like after migration to KF5, log location has been changed 

Old: .kde/share/apps/kopete/logs/JabberProtocol/
New: ~/.local/share/kopete/logs/JabberProtocol/

Maybe code could be added to migrate not only the configuration, but also the chat history.

Actually What I observed was once I updated the Kopete my old existing Jabber account got deleted too even kopeterc file location got changes. Since dev team have done the clean up of many plugins may be a direct migration of of config also not possible.

But the upgrade of kopete was completely broken.
Facing so many issues
1. There are no statistics view option even though plugin is available and enabled.
2. There is no way of seeing History except ctrl+H fires up history window
earlier there use to be an option and also option was adding button via configure tool-bar.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
