If on two instances of the same hardware, the same os and the same version of Krita, Krita behaves differently, then there must be a difference between the two systems after all. Until we know what that difference is, we cannot investigate this report. It might be my Krita settings? Some pointers what to check? I doubt that... You could try to backup your .config/kritarc and try with a fresh config, but there's nothing in the config that influences this. H**k... looking at the code there's no way saving can happen in the gui thread anymore! This is very mysterious.
