Created attachment 112095 [details] syslog I believe I have found a bug which impacts plasmashell though I cannot determine if it originates from there. I am running running kde 5.12.4 on gentoo and I am using the amdgpu driver. I have no problems when I set my wallpaper to a single image. If I set it to slideshow, depending in part on which images I choose, when logging back into kde from the screen lock, I will have a black background and cannot do much except go to the terminal and ctrl c X then restart. In my system log, it appears that plasmashell is being killed by the kernel due to running out of memory. It does seem to matter what files I am using in the slideshow. I have found some that do not cause a problem, and I am trying to determine if I can find one image that it in itself can cause this crash but it may take me some time to narrow it down.
