Description James Chinn 2018-04-11 21:01:27 UTC
Hi All,

ISO of Latest stable User version, Downloaded from website today
live USB Created on Ubuntu 17.10 using unetbootin

Found the issue when installing from USB on a HP Envy 13

When choosing "Guided - Setup LVM And Encryption" the Two boxes appear to allow a password to be set, However there is no text to indicate what these boxes are actually for.

Putting a password into the boxes allows for the installer to continue and it is not a breaking bug.

Kind Regards

J Chinn

I can confirm.

Bug reproduced on KDE Neon 5.12.15, using the latest ISO to this day (neon-useredition-20180607-1021-amd64.iso)

Here is a screenshot in attachment.

This bug should be marked as fixed because Neon is using Calamares now.

Thank you for your bug report!
However this bug report was created/provided previous to 01/01/2023 and also has not received any updates since before 01/01/2025.
Unfortunately KDE neon no longer provides updates for anything older than noble 24.04 based edition's.
Please upgrade to KDE neon noble and if you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report.
Thanks for understanding!
