Sentry Crash Report:

Description red33ed 2018-04-03 14:38:43 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. select a brush from "brush presets" docker
2. hold shift + left mouse button and drag

Expected results: brush size changes
Actual results: I get a brush stroke as if shift wasn't pressed (works only in a second try)

4.1 nightly (git 7a27f04)
win 10

Addition: it turns out that it affects other hotkeys with "click-and-drag" - pan and zoom
Comment 2 Emmet O'Neill 2018-09-15 21:46:44 UTC
I've investigated this as part of the KDE bugsquad, but wasn't able to reproduce this behavior on Linux (Kubuntu 18.04) using a build of the latest master branch. (4.2.0-pre-alpha git 12b52e3)

Leaving as UNCONFIRMED for now, needs to be re-checked on Windows later.

There are the following points that should be tested:

1) Test on Windows (might be windows-only)

2) Test with a tablet device (might be tablet-only)

Sorry, didn't test it enough previously.
It can be reproduced only if brush presets docker is in its own separate window, everything is ok when its docked somewhere. And it happens because the first click moves focus to the main window. So now I don't know if it's a bug at all.

No, that's not a bug -- that's simply how things work, I'm afraid. You need to click to focus.
