Isn't it possible to remove somehow the whole plasmoid (with --purge remove) and reinstall it again?! Maybe this solves the issue. When opening the mini programes configuration it's only possible to add a new plasmoid, but you can't remove it. I mean, I see there the notifier with a blue 1 in the upper right conner, but I can't deselect it... in plasma 5 the popup wasn't automatically closing anymore indeed. it now does again from Plasma 5.13 onwards (soon to be released) if you want to remove plasmoids from the systray, right click on its expander arrow->systemtray settings->check/unckeck the plasmoids you want/don't want Also depending on your Plasma version in Device Notifier settings there's an option to prevent it from auto-opening when you plug in a USB device |
