hitting space bar in kmail usually scrolls longer mails down by one page until the end of the mail and switches the to the next unread one.

Here space bar scrolls down exactly to one page from top, regardless of the actual position. Even from the end of a long mail it jumps to the position one page down from top. It does not switch to the next unread mail. Hitting space bar multiple times does nothing (mail sticks one page down from top).

Mail navigation with scroll bar and cursor block is still possible.

Hm,

sorry, but this does not seems to be. Today I got current 5.7.3 version from 
fedora and at least for my system space bar does not do the correct thing. It 
is still as mentioned in the bug report.
