Both the Wallpaper slideshow and the Media Frame widget have memory leaks. Because my wife's computer crashed a lot lately I looked into CPU temperature and RAM usage. Well, temp was okay but memory was filling up till at the end the system crashed.
The widget has a default refresh time of 6.8 seconds and in that  rhythm I saw a memory increase. I now deleted the frame from the desktop and memory usage stays normal now.
