This is the current tooltip for the Airplane Mode checkbox: "Enable/Disable Airplane mode".

I suggest to provide more information about what Airplane Mode actually does by extending the tooltip: "Enable/Disable Airplane mode (disconnect all Wifi connections)"

This opens the question if Airplane Mode only disconnects all Wifi connections or also other things. Is there a functional difference compared to when I uncheck the "Wireless" checkbox.

I believe everyone knows what is the airplane mode and having such long description is not necessary. It behaves the same way as airplane mode on your phone. It will disconnect your Wifi, Mobile broadband and Bluetooth.
