I believe this has been implemented in Kate. Can you please check with an updated version and confirm the setting Behaviour > Expand Tabs un-ticked meets your needs? Yes, this seems to be fixed in Kate 20.08 |
Created attachment 111564 [details] Comparing kate and dolphin tabs Kate seems to use some sort of custom tabs that are not used in any other KDE program as far as I know. They are way larger and dragging them feels unresponsive and clunky. Could they be changed to be like the ones in dolphin?
