+1 from me, a special +1 for a broom, that is also used by other icon sets (e.g. tango) as it is 1) independent of the location of items to be cleared (e.g. the sometimes used <x] icon looks bad on RTL languages) 2) rather culturally independent 3) known and recognizable The "edit-paste-style" icon looks kind of like a hand broom. It also looks kind of like a paintbrush too though. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #2) > The "edit-paste-style" icon looks kind of like a hand broom. It also looks > kind of like a paintbrush too though. Yes, and it is already used as that in various places (e.g. to copy and paste formatting), so it's not a candidate. Something similar but more broom-looking would be perfect :) Yeah, I only found out about it because Lollypop (an excellent GTK music player) uses this icon as a clear button, so evidently the developer Cedric Bellegarde had the same idea as us. FWIW, there's an "edit-clear-all" that could make sense using? https://phabricator.kde.org/source/breeze-icons/browse/master/icons/actions/symbolic/edit-clear-all-symbolic.svg It looks like a broom too. good idea will check and submit a broom. |
