I tried to duplicate the problem without success. Here it does not crash. So it is either the procedure or related to your data. Can you please take a look at https://docs.kde.org/stable4/en/extragear-office/kmymoney/details.formats.anonymous.html and see if the problem persists when you use this anonymous file?
