I'm trying to run a genymotion device on kde neon.

I tried installing the version of virtualbox that's in the repositories. (sudo apt install virtualbox), then when I run a genymotion device the whole computer freezes and I have to restart. Even REISUB doesn't work. I can understand if a genymotion device doesn't run but not freeze the entire desktop.

Also note that virtualbox version 5.2 doesn't work either.

So you can't VT switch (control + alt+f2)?
and more than just plasma is frozen?

yes the tty doesn't work either. Ctrl + Alt + F1 to F6

That means it's a kernel lockup, not anything Plasma can cause. I would recommend filing a kernel bug if it's still happening. Thanks!
