Description Jean-Philippe LEBRAT 2018-03-11 18:35:05 UTC
Context :
Hw = Laptop PC MSI GL72-6QF-813XFR, with a 256 Go SSD
BIOS and Firmware up to date (March 11, 2018)
OS : Kubuntu Bionic Beta 1, french configuration (on SSD)
Installation : nominal (PPA : none beyond the nominal proposed)
Installations beyond the nominal installation : digikam + kipi-plugins only

Bug generation : trivial [install, launch and see]
Install Kubuntu Bionic Beta 1, then install digikam and kipi plugins, then provide a few number of photographies in the default directory launch digikam, answer to the configuration questions (default choices only), and look to the main view.

Nota : at end of configuration (first lauch), the following message is displayed :
Il y a deux actions (Zoomer à 100%, Configurer digiKam...) qui souhaitent utiliser le même raccourci (Ctrl+Maj+,). C'est probablement un bogue, veuillez le signaler sur bugs.kde.org"
Comment 1 caulier.gilles 2018-03-11 18:49:15 UTC
It's probably fixed with 5.9.0 pre-release.

Please try with Linux universal AppImage bundle available here :

Comment 3 Jean-Philippe LEBRAT 2018-03-11 19:41:15 UTC
Yes, I confirm that the current appimage solves the problem (I tried before Beta 1).

But I don't know how to indicate this information to kubuntu development team (in order that the Bionic default digiKam selection be upgraded to the correct one).

Thanks a lot, Gilles for digiKam (I remember that you support digiKam for a long time) !
Comment 4 Maik Qualmann 2018-03-11 19:52:24 UTC
The reason is that Kubuntu delivers too old or not patched digiKam version. If Qt >= 5.9.3 is used, digiKam-5.8.0 is required. The same for the shortcut key error message.
