Do you mean you don't see the progress either on the task manager or in the notification area? or just a dialog as with Winrar in Windows. This is a followup of 391361 I meant dialog like in "winrar on windows" please read the mentioned bug I meant a follow up of >> 391697 << not the one I listed above. Hi Zakhar, This is not Ark-specific functionality. KDE Plasma Apps don't have their own progress bars, all of them use KDE Frameworks libraries to provide the same, consistent way of displaying notifications and progress bar. That's why Elvis recommended in #391697 to raise a feature request for frameworks-kio product, not Ark as Ark doesn't handle that. Fact is that this is the KDE way of displaying progress bar, using notifications area instead of it's own window. So, raising a feature request there (frameworks-kio) is actually asking for changing default behavior for all KDE apps and I don't think it will happen as not using own window is an intended behavior. Personally, I'm a bigger fan of current implementation - notifications area + working progress bar in task manager area (when run from dolphin). Resolved because requesting feature via inappropriate KDE component. Will bug proper component. *** Bug 392896 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
