I'm now using digiKam to manage scanned images of documents (i.e. census) to which I have added People tags because they are mentioned in the document.

Selecting the person in the People side menu does not show the document images but only images containing face regions.

Is it a bug?

If not a bug and if the intention of the People side menu is to show only faces then it should be called Faces side menu not People.

That's right, the People Tab only shows images with facial regions because it provides the facial recognition features of digiKam. Yes, maybe is People are not always the right expression, but Faces might not be accurate for some users either. There are certain users who may provide cars, flowers, animals etc. with regions...
