start Wayland session
open kicker
hover some icon from your favorites list and wait for its tooltip
press ESC to close kicker
tooltip takes some seconds to disappear

Tooltip also takes some seconds to disappear If you click some icon from the favorites while its tooltip is shown.

no longer reproducible with Plasma 5.18 beta.
