When I go back to Plasma, the programs runs with no problems at all. Also when I try to start Foxitreader by clicking on a PDF, the program won't start. I tried reinstalling FoxitReader while on Wayland, I get the error in the terminal: "Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keyQXcbConnection: Could not connect to display :1" I get this on Arch Linux, plasma 5.12.1 under Wayland. This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "wayland". Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, xcb. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. Aborted (core dumped) Seems foxitreader doe not support Wayland. Urgh, an app with a bundled Qt. Please report to foxitreader to include QtWayland We have a plan to solve this in due course (Qt 5.11) in the meantime running foxthing --platform xcb should work I found out that dropbox has the same problem. It doesn't work because QtWayland isn't included. I reported the bug to foxitreader and dropbox. Great that KDE is working on a solution!! |
