a WISH:

it would be cool if we could "desplit" (i.e. rejoin) audio and video clips..

provided perhaps that they have never been "ungroup"-ed, but only "split audiuo"-d

This is possible already. Align the separated video and audio part to each other, select both video and audio right click and choose group. Then they are together again.
