If I create a new 100x100 canvas, create a new animation frame on the top layer, then try to toggle onion skins, Krita will become unresponsive and I have to close Krita manually.

This is already fixed in master. We'll be releasing a new beta soonish. If it happens there again, don't hesitate to reopen this report.
