It only works with gstreamer and vlc (with libvlc 3.0) phonon backends. David, what backend are you using? VLC prior to version 3? I'm using Phonon VLC backend. I have libvlc 3.0.1 installed (libvlc-bin, libvlc-dev, libvlc5, libvlccore9), although in the settings (Multimedia -> Audio and Video -> Backend) it says Phonon VLC 0.9.1. Thanks! ...Other david, any ideas? Try with phonon-gstreamer Funny, now with Phonon Gstreamer I get no notification sounds at all, regardless of what I put in the settings. (In reply to David from comment #6) > Funny, now with Phonon Gstreamer I get no notification sounds at all, I had the same problem some time ago. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385759 #345651 which I now realize we never released This bug was resolved a long time ago, right? I'm not sure if it was implemented, but the settings page now looks very different and I'm not sure if it's still relevant. |
