Good day!
I have a problem downloading Thems for the KDE or the splash screen.
The topics Steampunk KDM Theme and Steampunk KSplash Theme always include the message:
"An unknown error has occurred with the Open Collaboration Service Programming Interface (API)"
How do I get it to work anyway?

Kind regards

KDE Plasma 4 has been unsupported since 2015, I'm afraid. You might want to upgrade to Plasma 5. We just released 5.12, and we think it's pretty fantastic!

Unfortunately, KDE 5 is not fantastic. It's more awkward than KDE 4.
If you finally managed to do that you would not always have to work with the activities but also could use the old virtual desktops again reasonably then I would have no problem with KDE 5.

The missing feature is called KDE 4 "Different Activities for Each Virtual Desktop".

Upgrade it and KDE 5 takes another big step towards usability.

But if I want to move a programmer among the activities, from one to the other, I have to dial the new one and deselect the old one.
If I'm not careful, it may be that I move them out of the way to a virtual workspace so that it only has to be moved to the activity on the virtual desktop.

KDE 5 is much more cumbersome than KDE 4.

It also annoys that the settings of the old version are not taken over in the new one. So you have to reconfigure everything every time. Just cruel.

Kind regards

Please feel free to file bugs on Plasma 5 activities or virtual desktop features.
