So, in Whisker Menu I could do something like:
firefox private:https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%u

So this will open up the result, in firefox, and the private: bit comes from an extension called Private Tab that allows to append private: to a link and have it in private mode. Not the best thing, but works.

What I would LOVE, is if web shortcuts would at least open a new private window when you search for something in krunner.

Thank you.

I had the same idea and created a new plugin for it: https://github.com/alex1701c/QuickWebShortcuts.

I know this isn't fixing the bug but maybe it will be useful :-).

Should I make a MR implementing this feature, maybe with an additional action to open a private/incognito window based on the default browser @ngraham?

This should be fairly easy.
