I had the same idea and created a new plugin for it: https://github.com/alex1701c/QuickWebShortcuts. I know this isn't fixing the bug but maybe it will be useful :-). Should I make a MR implementing this feature, maybe with an additional action to open a private/incognito window based on the default browser @ngraham? This should be fairly easy. Sounds great!
