Hello,
KStars built based on Github sources
Since version 2.9.2 I have a strange behaviour.

When I open for example indi device manager or object search I have a 20 second period between click and opening of the window.
During this time my PC stays practically frozen since load is about 100% for all the 4 cores.
same problem whatever menu I select it takes 20s before I can resume with activity.

Appart of this everything seems to respond correctly.

Could I have done something wrong during comilation?

==> kstars 2.9.2
KDE Framework 5.37.0
Qt 5.9.2 (built on 5.9.1)
==> Linux 4.14.0-3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.14.13-1 (2018-01-14) x86_64 GNU/Linux

After some searching I had some files remaining from previous compilations

I remove the old install with xargx rm < install-manifest

may be something went wrong there, no idea.

Everything is OK now
