open maintenance dialogue
instead of all albums select one or more
check sync metadata to/from database (whichever)
start the maintenance
-see that all albums are being processed, not just the selected ones

The problem is that all tags is selected on the tags tab, which also adds albums containing the pictures with the tags. I will change the preset and disable the all tags checkbox.
