I can confirm this bug. It is still present in Plasma 5.13.4, and is happening on NixOS as well. Bug still alive in: libpowerdevilcore2 4:5.14.5-1 libpowerdevilui5 4:5.14.5-1 "read from a write-only object" sounds like a bug - didn't detect the hardware type?
