1) It's possible for (visibility) change propagation to cloned layers to not finish if you interrupt them by toggling the visibility before they are done. (For large images, where large probably means > 1 refresh block size.)

2) For same large images, changing the visibility of the originals mask layer does not affect the clone layer, whereas for small images it does.
