I was unable to see the bottom of the main window. That's why I couldn't pack it there and make it smaller.
That's why I wanted to pack it above the title bar. At this moment it's gone. Only the taskbar icon was still visible. But the program could no longer be maximized using the Tasbar icon.

Windows 10 Pro 1709 16299.192  64bit 32GB Ram Intel i7-5820 3.3GHz GTX1070

I have found out that the problem occurs when I have added additional dockers. Patterns, for example. This increases the window height. This is the first bug. If you try to shrink the too high window again, the program crashes.

Thanks for making a bug report. However, it is unclear to me what the issue is and how one can reproduce it. If you can, please make a video with the steps to reproduce and the result of the bug.

In addition, since you mentioned getting a crash, please obtain a backtrace by following the instructions in https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger and attach it to your reply.

Resolution 1920 * 1080

open Krita
Window not maximized !
Left side Main Window
Right side Brush Presets

The main window height fits the desktop


Dockers:

Advanced colour Selector
Brush Presets
Layers
Reference Images
Specific Colour Selector
Tool Options 
Toolbox
Undo History

Change to

Advanced colour Selector
Brush Presets
->Grid and Guides
Layers
->Patterns
Reference Images
Specific Colour Selector
Tool Options 
Toolbox
Undo History

Now the main window is too high!
Its bottom is lower than the taskbar.

This is the first bug!

Now try to resize the window.
You are unable to catch the ground because it is behind the taskbar.
Try to change the size of the window in the title bar.

The main window will break.
You can't get it back.
The Brush Preset window is still there.
