We have a couple of ways that we show a user's picture that would look better and more consistent if they were all the same.

Kickoff shows the user in a square when you use an image instead of an avatar. Kscreenlock uses the same image in a circle (because of the theme we use) and in system settings the representation is in a square.

I am in favor of making all of these shapes circular. They are more inviting.
