New output with gdb (and a bit more experience on how to do this.
This bug is constant, is presenting also in other users although with IMAP based accounts much less.
Another user in the German mailinglist has the same problems. What else happens is, that, when restarting after segfault, older messages are shown as unread and astonishingly messages that had been erased much beforehand and eliminated off the paper basket, reappear in the list as new. This is problematic because may touch also messages that one would not like to reappear (containing e.g. content that is reserved or undesired). While crashing often, this also is damaging the database on the long run. This is a stable bug, still present in the current version. Plasma 5.12.8 Frameworks 5.55.0 QT 5.9.7 RPM opensuse standard repo. Also in 15.2 opensuse this problem seems to persist. |

Or when the system was unattended on another user for some time and I come back to the one with kontakt active, try to check for mail. This will hang. When shutting down the application Kontact segfaults. When opening it again, then mail previously marked as read appear as unread, some mails that where not there or were deleted reappear. akonadi fsck complains about missing RID. (no RID or no RID and dirty). Konqui pops up but is not able to create a backtrace.
