Did you use System Tray settings dialog to hide it or did you configure something in Klipper/Clipboard to disable it (the backtrace suggests the latter)? (In reply to Kai Uwe Broulik from comment #1) > Did you use System Tray settings dialog to hide it or did you configure > something in Klipper/Clipboard to disable it (the backtrace suggests the > latter)? I disabled it in Klipper, just disabling the notes item and leave the other untouched. When I pressed 'OK', it crashed and restarted new Plasma environment by itself. I can confirm this. 1. Right click the down arrow in the tray 2. Click System Tray Settings 3. Enable or disable some icons there 4. Click OK 5. Watch Plasma restart itself Happens 100% of the time. *** Bug 397573 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 124733 [details]
New crash information added by DrKonqi
plasmashell (5.12.9) using Qt 5.9.5
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
First right-click system tray, then select "System Tray Settings". Under "Extra Items" uncheck "Clipboard", then click "Apply". Now check "Clipboard", then click "Apply" again. Exit the window via "OK".
After this, from system tray, right-click "Configure Clipboard...", uncheck "Ignore Images". Clicking "Apply" at this point triggers the crash.
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
I was messing with clipboard settings because copy and paste had stopped working inside Konsole earlier, and I was trying to figure out how to restart the clipboard. After plasmashell crashed, the clipboard still did not work in my Konsole window, but I later tried opening a new Konsole instance, and the clipboard worked fine in there.
