Hello,
In the user account settings in system settings, if you change your account picture to one form the default gallery, on Apply it will be reverted back... so basically you can't change the account picture with one of the defaults from the gallery (like Konqui).

Already fixed in Bug 385151, which will be available in Plasma 5.12.
