I have a video clip, which I want to dissolve to another video clip. I added a title clip on top of that video (without adding affine-transition for the title). When I preview the video, the video will be black while dissolving, only showing the title clip and no other video in the background. 

Workaround: Adding an affine-transition under the title clip will show the dissolve-transition as normal, but will also dissolve the title along with video clip nr. 1.

can you try a more "recent" build? i'm not seeing the issue. (and BTW it's possibile to choice what dissolving video channel manually from the transition/effect options..)

This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED to reflect the resolution change.
