Similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61514 there could be a new item in the Actions context menu for image files: "Set as wallpaper" or "Set as desktop background image" which sets the selected image as wallpaper.

Thanks for the hint. A service menu like this should be integrated in Dolphin by default. This particular one has a restriction: "Widgets need to be unlocked, otherwise it won't work." (it fails silently).

This seems like a no brainer.  Ive been looking all over for 'set as desktop background' option.  It should be included by default.

This is such a basic function, dolphin really need this by default.
