It's pretty hard to select text object both with text tool (to edit) and select shapes tool. Only baseline +/-2 pixels is clickable. Maybe it's possible to extend selection area to text itself, so double-clicking on baseline + letters would initiate edit?

Krita version: 4.0 alpha, git aeb04cc from nightly build archive for Windows.

Hi Alex,

Please, before creating bugs in bugzilla, check the text tool task to see whether we've already noted the issue: managing bugs takes time away from actually fixing issues we're already aware of.
