Description JHF2442 2018-01-02 11:19:52 UTC
Getting output of cronjobs (rsync logfiles) sent per email.

Depending on the changes, those emails can become quite huge (but only contain ascii text, no html, no attachements).

If the body size is above a certain limit, the content of the email is no longer displayed. Kmail is unresponsive for a certain time, but after it recovers and normal operation is possible (like selecting another email :-) ), but the real content is never displayed. I'm assuming it tries to render the email but aborts after a certain timeout occurs.

Regarding the size, I can only tell that 50kB renders fine, while > 1MB doesn't display

"Not rendered" means the preview window still display the previous content (previously selected email), and double-clicking on a huge email opens up a new window with no content (even not the email header is displayed), only the grey bar on the left side is shown ("no HTML Message")
