In the past ... we just add to run

ifconfig enp0s25 192.168.10.2

to setup a local network.

But NM stuff tends to kill the connection at many opportunities ??? (not sure if it still happen)

Cannot figured out how to manually set (save) this in plasma-nm :

- UI looks buggy
- Why it requires to enter more data than for ifconfig ???
- Why it reset from manual to automatically ???
- Why it creates a fake "wired connection 1" ???

It should be a one click action : pickup the ethernet link, save an ip, enable and KEEP it (don't need a ui with a zillion of parameters)

I'm afraid this isn't an actionable bug. Please use a support forum such as https://forum.kde.org for assistance using plasma-nm to configure two machines that are hooked up with an ethernet cable. If there are issues with plasma-nm itself, please file specific, targeted, actionable bugs for each issue. Thanks!
