I want my default to be details+sort:modified(desc)+folders on top false

if i make this settings and restart, i am back to icons view and all my other preferences are gone.

i tried to write it manually in dolphinrc, on exit it gets changed back

i have purged, deleted that file and reinstalled, to no avail

This might be a distro problem, but we cannot know this for sure. Could you please update Dolphin (17.12.3 should be available for Kubuntu) and check again if this issue is now resolved?

Can you confirm that this issue is resolved with a newer version of Kubuntu/Dolphin? Or do you still experience this bug?

succes! it now works as expected.

apart from one thing: i cannot add items to the toolbar: i can do so in the editor (configure toolbars), but if i hit 'apply' it flashes but the new items do not appear.
