Description sgat_bugs 2017-11-12 21:24:02 UTC
Hello,
I have installed Version 2.0.1 on Kubuntu 17.10. Reading and writing files from and to samba shares is very sluggish. Sometimes one CPU core is used completely by smb4k.
Best regards

Does this still happen wit the latest version of Smb4K?

Do you mean version 3.0.4?
I have currently installed version 3.0.2 from Kubuntu 19.10 archive. As Kubuntu 20.04 is due to be released this week I am going to upgrade and test with version 3.0.4 from Kubuntu 20.04 archive soon.

My current impression from version 3.0.2 on Kubuntu 19.10 is good. Opening files from a mounted smb-share with Libreoffice and especially saving with Libreoffice to the smb-shares is O.K. The same with with video files and avidemux.

I have tested version 3.0.4 from Kubuntu 20.04 archive. LibreOffice and avidemux work good on smb-shares mounted via smb4k. So I am going to close this bug report. Thanks a lot for your work.
