The Quickstart documentation is fine as a 'get you going' document.

However, I went to Settings->Configure Kdenlive and, at the bottom of the dialog there is a 'Help' button.  Clicking that help button takes you to the Quickstart - which is not appropriate to that dialog (and I suspect many other situations).

A more complete document would be good.

Yes you have to click either on "Kdenlive/Manual/QuickStart" and then on "1.5 Complete manual" and then on the "full manual"
or on "Complete manual" and then on the "full manual" to get there.

With the latest Kdenlive version hitting F1 we direct to the new documentation. All documentation links are pointing now to the new documentation. 
I close this bug. If it still appears in the latest version, please feel free to re-open it and update the affected version number
