Dolphin and Folder View are supposed to share the same KIO context menu code these days (the former KonqPopupMenu stuff that moved into Frameworks) - not sure without looking again why these plugins don't appear in FV. Extract/Compress Ark functions are present, they are still different compared to 'Dolphin' context menu When right-clicking an archive on Folder View I do get "Extract" entries. What entries are you exactly referring to? Can you perhaps provide a screenshot? If you can provide the information requested in comment #3, please add it. (In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #4) > If you can provide the information requested in comment #3, please add it. I'll upload some pictures because context menus can't be screenshot'ed... Sorry for my delay about the answer. Oh, I think you're just using an older version of Plasma that lacks this feature. We rewrote large bits of it for Plasma 5.10. So stay tuned for the next Plasma LTS 5.12 due in a couple of weeks. I was more than clear just from the beginning about this because I filed the bug against 5.8.7 which is the current one for Leap 42.3. So I'm gonna wait for Leap 15? If this happens on Tumbleweed or Leap 15, please reopen. > I was more than clear just from the beginning about this because I filed the bug against 5.8.7 which is the current one for Leap 42.3.
I'm sorry I missed that, I only realized when I saw the screenshot with large padding around item (since 5.10 it is much narrower)
