Description barroth.shadowflame 2017-11-04 16:53:28 UTC
I have tried the following:
Updating my graphics driver
Restarting Krita
Restarting my computer
turning off OpenGL
Switching to angle render
Upgrading from 3.1.2 to 3.3.2

Can you explain these steps you are going through to get krita to crash?
Comment 2 barroth.shadowflame 2017-11-04 17:24:24 UTC
All I am doing is trying to adjust the render settings or even selecting colors, then Krita just stops working, and I cannot find the kritacrash.log file at all

If it is random different things that might cause it like that. It might not be krita. No one else has reported anything like this. Are you running low on hard drive space?

Yes, it definitely sounds like your system is messed up. Do you have any security software installed that didn't come with Windows? Can you try to make a crash log, following https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger ?

The only extra security thing I have is Malwarebytes, but I've never had a problem with that in the past, and no I'm not running low on hard drive space, the drive I have it installed on has 897 GB left

ok, so I have now gotten it to work, something may have corrupted something but the dbg package helped
