Since the fix to bug 384284, if you open kontact on the Summary, you cannot go to any other task like mail or calendar until its displayed the summary details.  The summary details used to be displayed virtually immediately on opening so you could jump to another task immediately. Its taking as long as it did when it was displaying a whole years worth of upcoming dates. (see bug 384284)

I can see how my fix for bug 384284 could possibly be causing this.

Seems like akonadi_ical_resource running between 40-50% all the time its "locked up" - its also reporting it taking 1.5GB memory usage
