I have configured 2 CardDav accounts with different servers on my workstation (online 7/24) a few weeks ago and everything went well at the beginning but in the last few days syncing stopped with error message "Host not found". This error message seen on akonadiconsole too. Tried "akonadictl restart" many times but nothing changed.

Of course thoose host names are resolvable all the time with every tool. Tcpdump showed that akonadi does not issue a single dns query on any interfaces just fails immediately. The workaround I have found is to put thoose host names into /etc/hosts and restart the CardDav agents via akonadiconsole.

My Fedora has been upgraded from 25 to 26 at 2017-10-11 but not sure if I configured CardDav before or after that date. Akonadi did not get any updates since.

Current versions:
kf5-akonadi-server-17.04.1-3.fc26.x86_64
kf5-akonadi-contacts-17.04.1-1.fc26.x86_64

My /etc/resolv.conf:
# Generated by NetworkManager
search d****t m****.hu c****.m****.hu i** i****.hu 4**
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver 10.254.254.253
nameserver fe80::c056:27ff:fe73:4043%enp2s0
# NOTE: the libc resolver may not support more than 3 nameservers.
# The nameservers listed below may not be recognized.

False report, sorry, I realized that this is a KIO issue. Even Konqueror failing to connect to any host.
