I cannot reproduce this problem. It saves whatever I choose and when I open the connection again, then it's correct. I just noticed that the problem described here happens only when kwallet is disabled. Git commit ead62e9582092709472e1e76eb3940d742ea808b by Jan Grulich. Committed on 31/10/2017 at 07:48.
