I can confirm this crash, having the Configuration file is invalid: "kontact.knsrc", typing into the knewstuff's search form brings down the entire kontact every time.
to reproduce this: open Kontact (not korganizer itself), go to calendar (korganizer) go to Menu > File > Import > Get Hot New Stuff... select Search field and press a interestingly, this does not happen when opening korganizer outside of kontact. I have these versions running: Kontact 5.10.3 KDE Plasma 5.12.8 OpenSuse Leap 15.1 Once it crashed without any hint, the other time the crash handler showed up.
