Krita gets hung up on the spinning wheel icon when I use big brush sizes or use the brightness/contrast curve tool. I have instant preview selected. I updated and rolled back my Nvida display drivers with no improvement either way. I uninstalled Krita 3.3.1 and reinstalled Krita 3.3.0 and Krita runs fine now. I then re-updated my Nvidia drivers and Krita is still working fine. I read something about an open Histogram docker causing a problem but I don't have this docker open ever.

Could you

* test (3.3.1) with a clean config: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Resetting_Krita_configuration -- please keep a backup of the old config
* check the hints given here: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Slow_Brushes
* Finally, check this extensive help page -- and if nothing works, record a video so we can see what happens? Preferably with the cpu page of task manager shown on top of Krita.

Hi Dave,

Do you have still have this lag with the newer versions of Krita?

Since there is no reply to this bug report, I will close this for now, If you are still facing brush lag issues you can reopen the bug report.
